Website Privacy Policy
Effective: This Privacy Policy becomes effective on the date you register successfully on our Website.
PLEASE READ THIS POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING ON THE WEBSITE
You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Services. It is expressly prohibited for minors under 18 to create or use an AIME account.
AIME is committed to user data protection and our privacy is as important to us as your well-being. This page explains how we collect and manage user information, what your data is used for, and how you can access, object to, or ask for the removal of your data. The website operator processes the data collected on this website.
HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We take data protection very seriously and are actively working on newly introduced security measures as they become available. Our website and services use modern TLS encryption to protect visitors and users of our services. We treat personal data as confidential and by data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We strive to ensure that the data we receive is:
- Processed lawfully, fairly, and in a transparent manner
- Collected only for specified and legitimate purposes
- Limited only and held no longer that is necessary to operate our services
- Processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security
WITH WHOM WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not share the information we collect with third-party partners. We may disclose data in the following situations:
In response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for cooperation from law enforcement or government agencies; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by the law.
When we believe disclosure is appropriate in connection with efforts to investigate, prevent, report, or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud, or wrongdoing, to protect and defend our company’s rights, property, or safety.
While we do not share the information we collect with third-party partners, using external services is inescapable in today’s technology landscape. As such, these external services may see your activity on our website and our products and might collect information independently. The data collection sections further down in the document clearly outline these.
YOUR RIGHTS
While we are located solely in the United States, US citizens deserve the more stringent rules governing user rights. The following sections outline the rights of individuals mandated by the General Data Protection Regulation.
Right to be informed
You have the right to be informed about how we collect, process, and store your information, which this Privacy Policy covers.
Right to access and data portability
We offer an easy way to access the data we process and store in our databases in a portable format. Please visit Your Member Account, where you can download a portable copy of your information and review all the data we store.
Right to rectification
If you find inaccurate personal data that needs to be corrected, you can contact us and explain the details of your request. Please use our contact form; we will respond as soon as possible.
Right to erasure
The right to erasure is “the right to be forgotten.” Individuals can request the erasure of their personal data for any number of reasons. After logging in, please visit Your Member Account to see the appropriate options and instructions.
Right to file complaints
Anyone affected by a data protection breach has the right to file a complaint with data protection regulatory authorities. Please refer to EDPS’s article on how to contact a Data Protection Officer or communicate your concerns.
Revocation of consent
Certain data processing operations can only be performed with your express consent. You may revoke your consent at any time. The Privacy Policy below provides several tools and options for this purpose. If you have questions, need assistance, or would like us to perform tasks on your behalf, you can also request this via email or by using our contact form.
INFORMATION OF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
Our subscriptions are processed via Stripe for credit card processing, which is PCI Service Provider Level 1 certified. We can only see the essential information you provide during checkout. We cannot access and never store sensitive payment information like credit card numbers. We store the following personal information:
- Your first and last name
- The company name (if provided)
- The email address provided during checkout
- The payment method and country selected during checkout
DATA COLLECTION ON OUR WEBSITE
AIME collects some data when you provide it to us, for example, by subscribing to our newsletter. Other data are collected automatically by our IT systems as soon as you enter our website. These are primarily technical data, such as your web browser and operating system.
Server log files
Due to the nature of server environments, servers usually record some basic information about your visit in log files. These are:
- Date and time of your visit
- Operating system and web browser
- Referrer URL
- IP address
These log files are accessible only to the website operator. They are primarily used to identify potential issues, such as page errors, inaccessible pages, or dead URLs. Sometimes, they are also used to measure the amount of website traffic. We use server logs to maintain the stability of our website. We do not combine these log files with data from other sources. Log files get automatically deleted after a certain period when they are no longer helpful for site maintenance.
Google Fonts
Google Fonts offers hundreds of open-source and free web fonts to customize website appearance with unique typography. We use Google Fonts throughout our website to ensure a uniform and pleasing appearance for every visitor. For this purpose, your browser has to connect to Google’s servers, and Google may be able to see your visit.
Use of Google Fonts is unauthenticated. Website visitors do not send cookies to the Google Fonts API. Requests to the Google Fonts API are made to resource-specific domains, such as fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com, so that your requests for fonts are separate from and do not contain any credentials you send to google.com while using other Google services that are authenticated, such as Gmail.
Video platforms
Some of our demonstration content on this website may include videos from popular video-sharing sites like YouTube and Vimeo. AIME relies on the developer tools that YouTube and Vimeo provide. If you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube or Vimeo video, a connection to their servers will be established. If you have signed up and logged in to these services, they will be able to recognize your visit and associate it directly with your profile.

Cookies
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will set up several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen options cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you object to cookies, you can configure your web browser to reject all cookies on this website. This process varies from browser to browser, but browsers usually offer a way to block cookies globally or on specified websites only.
THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
There are some places on our website or through our services where you may click on a link to access other websites that do not operate under this Privacy Policy. Other websites and services may have entirely different practices for collecting and managing user data; thus, we recommend consulting the Privacy Policy of any third party.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect our practices and service changes. When we apply changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this page. Suppose we make any material changes in how we collect, use, and/or share your personal information. In that case, we will notify you and communicate these changes by visual elements on this site and by sending out emails whenever we can and if appropriate.
