Application Privacy Policy
Effective: This Privacy Policy becomes effective on the date you first download and use the AIME mobile application.
PLEASE READ THIS POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE MOBILE APPLICATION
You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Services. It is expressly prohibited for minors under 18 to create or use an AIME account.
Your privacy is as important to us as your well-being, and we are committed to protecting it by complying with this privacy policy (“Policy”). The information below describes how and why we process your data, which you share with us and collect when you use our mobile application. Personal data (hereinafter “Personal Data”) is any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Unless defined where used, capitalized terms used herein shall have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.
While we exclusively sell the AIME mobile application in the United States of America, if we ever expand to the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, please see our Compliance with Privacy Laws and Regulations section below, which details how we process your personal data by the Additional Privacy Laws and Regulations.
In connection with the AIME mobile application, NO data we process includes sensitive information about you other than your scan results and usage data. We always ask for your explicit consent by choosing the save results option before any information processing activity happens, as described in this Policy. You can withdraw the consent you provided at any time by uninstalling the application.
In particular, we do not store your facial images or video recordings when you use the AIME mobile application. This information does not leave your device and is not stored on it.
WHAT INFORMATION WE PROCESS
Whenever you access our mobile application, we may process (e.g., collect, use, store, transfer, etc.) different kinds of data about you. AIME is a cloud-based software service that determines your personal wellness data and measurements based on facial blood flow information collected by the application.
Processing of Non-Personal Data
As part of providing you with the services, we may collect aggregated, non-personal, and non-identifiable information that may be made available or gathered via your use of the AIME mobile application and your interaction with us. We may use Non-Personal Data without limitation and for any purpose, including commercial, research, or statistical purposes, without further notice to you.
DATA RETENTION AND STORAGE
Data Retention
To protect your privacy, we do not store data that can identify you as an individual. In particular, we do not store your facial image or video recordings when you use AIME. This information does not leave your device and is not stored on your device.
We retain specific Data under our retention policies. In principle, unless otherwise stated, your Data will only be stored until the purpose of the collection and storage no longer applies. Your Data may be stored for longer to:
- communicate with you about any questions or complaints you may have after you have stopped being a user of our Services or
- to comply with the accounting, reporting, or any other applicable law rules.
We will retain your Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. We will retain and use your Data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements; this retention period may extend past the point at which you close your account as set out in this Policy. In certain circumstances, we may aggregate your data for research, analytical, or statistical purposes and use this information indefinitely without your further notice.
Storage Location
All data processed and collected to provide our Services outside of the device in which the mobile application is installed is stored in one of the various jurisdictions with cloud service providers managed by us. Using the contact details at the end of this Policy, you can ask us for more information about where we may transfer or store your data and how we protect it.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
We take the security of your data seriously. We have adopted industry-standard security practices, including technical and organizational security measures. We take various steps to protect your Data from unauthorized access, use, modification, and unlawful destruction and disclosure. We only respectfully share between our Services (application, website, and credit card processor) randomly generated license tokens, user IDs, and customer keys. Additionally we:
- Have adopted encryption technology (such as SSL/TLS) to transfer and store your Personal Data.
- Limit access to your Data on a strict need-to-know basis.
- Put physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in line with industry standards.
DATA COLLECTED FROM APP USERS
Basic Account Data
The User Account data only contains basic contact details such as email address, hashed login password, and device details (type, OS version, etc.). We also collect relevant demographic data such as age, sex, height, weight, etc.
Vital Signs and Health-Related Data
As part of using the mobile application, specific health-related data may be collected and processed regarding the user, such as Blood Pressure, Heart Rate (BPM), Respiration (RPM), Stress level, and HRV-SDNN (ms), and other calculated biomarkers and related data, including a calculated “Wellness Score,” to track and maintain your historical measurement data.
Usage Data
When you use the mobile application, information and data are automatically generated and collected, which can help us understand how you are using AIME and how to better provide the Services to you (“Usage Data”). We strive to ensure that Usage Data is not personal—e.g., click stream within the App, page viewed, use of the Services (i.e., accessed or used by end-user), and the time spent on those pages or features, crash data, analytics, etc. To the extent Usage Data inadvertently contains Personal Data, it will be treated as such and covered under this Privacy Policy.
